The ASNJ works hard to offer members opportunities to participate in archaeological digs across the state each year. The society has teamed with various counties and universities, including Monmouth University, Middlesex County Office of Culture and Heritage, and Ocean County Cultural and Heritage Commission, among others, to provide such opportunities where space, access, and numbers permit. Excavations completed exclusively by the ASNJ are documented in technical reports that fully record all excavations, research, data, and interpretations in a scientific and professional manner.
