As a member, you will have the opportunity to participate in ASNJ events including digs at exciting sites, as well as network with professional archaeologists and fellow members. You will also have a chance to hear about the latest research through meetings and publications. You will receive four quarterly newsletters and an annual bulletin. Students and CRM professionals in particular can learn about job opportunities and may be able to get support for personal research. There is also the opportunity to present and publish your New Jersey-based research. Joining the ASNJ not only benefits members in many ways, but provides valuable support and advocacy for archaeology in New Jersey.

Note: As of November 14, 2016 all membership dues received after October 1st will be applied to an annual membership for the next calendar year. For example, if you pay for your membership between October 2nd 2022 and October 1st 2023, this fee will cover your annual membership during the 2023 calendar year. If you pay for your membership between October 2nd 2023 and October 1st 2024, your fee will cover your annual membership during the 2024 calendar year.
ASNJ Membership Fees
Annual membership runs for one calendar year from January 1st to December 31st.
When signing up for your membership, please select your preference of how you would like the ASNJ Bulletin and ASNJ Newsletter sent to you, either printed or digital version.
The default options are printed Bulletin and digital Newsletter.
ASNJ Lifetime Membership: $1,000.00
*$10 of the Sustaining Membership fee is applied to sustaining the research grant
**Student Membership requires a photocopy of a valid Student ID

$6 of each ESAF Membership fee purchased via our website is applied to sustaining the research grant

Notes About ESAF
Join the Eastern States Archaeological Federation through ASNJ and ASNJ receives a small portion of the fee. Give ASNJ some extra support and elect to join ESAF with your ASNJ membership payment. You can join both ESAF and ASNJ through our PayPal payment option.
Paypal Notes
ASNJ and ESAF memberships must be done as separate payment transactions through PayPal.
If you pay your ASNJ membership via PayPal, you will automatically receive your newsletter by email only to the email linked to your PayPal account (your Bulletin will still be mailed). If you wish to receive a hard copy of the newsletter, or wish your newsletter to be emailed to a different email address, please let us know.
